This article compares the first- and second-generation FusingX hydraulic units, highlighting how the latest design evolved through real job-site use. Based on long-term field feedback, the second-generation unit improves mobility, protection, operating flexibility, and overall usability, making it better suited for HDPE butt fusion welding applications and long-term on-site work.

This article documents a factory photo record of the FX1000 butt fusion machine taken on December 30, 2025. The FX1000 follows the same design and material system as other FX series models, with differences mainly in overall size. The photos highlight structural details such as the side frame, clamp design, and adjustable anti-slip pads.

The FX800 butt fusion machine is designed for large-scale, large-diameter pipeline welding projects. Supporting pipes from 450 to 800 mm, it features a dedicated hydraulic unit, safety-focused structural details, and clear operating logic. These design choices help ensure stable, controlled, and reliable operation in demanding construction environments.

The Welping FX series hydraulic unit is available with two pressure gauge options: a digital pressure gauge for clear, intuitive readings and a mechanical pointer gauge that remains readable without power. This dual-option design allows the hydraulic unit to adapt to different job-site conditions while maintaining reliable pressure control.

The new FusingX hydraulic unit introduces a magnetic remote control designed for real job-site conditions. The remote allows operators to control key functions from flexible positions, improving visibility, efficiency, and safety during welding. This practical upgrade supports smoother operation, especially in large-diameter butt fusion applications.

This test records the FX630 butt fusion welding process on a large-diameter, thick-wall PE pipe in the factory, covering alignment, facing, heating, and fusion. The resulting weld was stable and well formed, suitable for large-scale pipeline applications.

The new FUSINGX enclosed hydraulic unit comes in four sizes, supporting FX160 to FX1200. Each model shares the same operating logic and protective design, with size differences driven by motor capacity and mobility requirements.

A batch of FX315 and FX250 machines completed final inspection before shipment. Each unit was checked for structure, movement, and hydraulic performance, demonstrating Welping’s consistent quality standards.
