FX500 Butt Fusion Machine Workshop Operation
These photos were taken during a workshop operation session for the FX500 butt fusion machine. As part of our regular work routine, our general manager and sales team often visit the factory to operate the machines directly. By taking part in the process themselves, they gain a clearer understanding of the equipment structure, operating steps, and practical details involved in real welding work.
During this session, the team followed the normal preparation steps before welding. The pipe was first clamped and aligned in the machine frame, after which key components such as the facer and heating plate were prepared for the following fusion steps.
The FX500 belongs to the medium-to-large size range of butt fusion machines. At this size, components like the facer and heating plate already have noticeable weight. Handling them entirely by hand can be inconvenient during operation. For this reason, the FX500 is equipped with a lifting crane to assist with moving these components.
With the crane, operators can position the facer and heating plate more easily and safely. This reduces physical effort and helps keep the operation smooth and controlled throughout the preparation process.
While performing the machine operation, we also record videos of the process. To ensure clear footage, the setup usually includes two fill lights and a camera. The team members responsible for filming are an important part of the process, helping document the operation while the equipment is being demonstrated.
Through these workshop sessions, we are able to show the machine operating in a real environment and allow our team to become more familiar with the equipment’s workflow and practical usage.
