But in actual operation, it plays a role in almost every key step — from facing and alignment to welding pressure.
With the FX series, we didn’t make incremental improvements to the existing system.
We redesigned it.
The FX Gen 2 HPU is built on a new approach — in structure, in control logic, and in how the operator interacts with the machine.
Control is no longer one system for everything
On many machines, the same hydraulic control logic is used throughout the entire process.
But facing, alignment, and welding don’t require the same kind of pressure control.
With the FX Gen 2 HPU, these stages are handled differently.
During facing, the focus is on smooth and stable feed — no sudden jumps or inconsistent movement.
During welding, the pressure build-up is clearer and easier to manage, allowing the operator to stop exactly where needed.
This isn’t just tuning — it’s a different way of controlling the process.
Operation moves to where the action is
The Gen 2 HPU uses a remote control system.
But the real change is not the remote itself — it’s where the operator stands.
Instead of operating from the hydraulic unit and looking back at the machine,
the operator can stay next to the frame, watching pipe alignment, surface condition, and bead formation — while controlling the process at the same time.
What you see is what you control.
This makes a noticeable difference during key steps like facing, alignment, and pressure application.
Redesigned structure, not just a new look
The FX Gen 2 HPU comes with a completely new layout, along with the updated white-and-blue design.
This is not just a visual update.
The internal structure has been reorganized to be more compact and more coherent.
The result is a cleaner, more integrated system — not a collection of separate components.
And in practice, that directly affects how quickly and comfortably an operator can work with the machine.
