This article explains why clamp configurations differ across FX series butt fusion machines. Models up to 315 use fewer clamp blocks, which is sufficient for smaller pipes. From size 355 upward, the number of clamp blocks increases to form a full-circle arrangement, providing more even contact and better stability for larger and heavier pipes during welding.

The FX500 butt fusion welding machine is a practical mid-range model designed for everyday HDPE pipe welding.
