Operation Guide | How to Mount and Connect the Tracker Data Logger

Nov 5,2026
Installing the Tracker data logger involves three main tasks: assembling the swivel mount, securing the logger, and connecting the cables. Once installed, the mount allows smooth screen adjustment for convenient viewing and operation.
Watch the video below for the full demonstration, then follow the written steps as a quick reference.
1. Prepare the Equipment and Tools
Before starting, have the following items ready:
· Hydraulic unit and Tracker data logger
· Mounting base, support post, and upper swivel arm assembly
· Supplied mounting screws
· Power and signal cables
· Allen keys and a screwdriver
Disconnect the equipment from the power supply before assembling the mount or connecting cables.
2. Build the Swivel Mount
Start with the mounting base. Position it at the right-hand corner of the hydraulic unit, align the four mounting holes, and insert the screws. Tighten them with an Allen key until the base is firmly secured.
Next, place the support post onto the base. Align the three holes in its bottom flange with the corresponding holes in the base, then insert and tighten the three screws.
Finally, fit the upper swivel arm assembly onto the top of the post. Secure the connecting sleeve by tightening its two set screws with an Allen key. Check that the sleeve is firmly attached and that the arm swivels smoothly.
3. Secure the Data Logger
Turn the mounting plate to a horizontal position. Hold the data logger with its back facing upward and align the holes in the plate with the mounting holes on the logger.
Fit the supplied screws and tighten them individually with a screwdriver. Support the logger throughout this step until all mounting screws are secure.
You can then tilt and swivel the screen into a suitable operating position.
4. Make the Cable Connections
Plug the power cable and signal cable into the matching ports on the data logger. Connect the opposite end of the signal cable to the corresponding port on the rear of the hydraulic unit.
Arrange the cables with enough slack to accommodate movement of the swivel arm. Check that they remain clear of the mount’s joints and are not pulled tight when the screen is repositioned.
5. Check the Assembly Before Powering On
Check that the base, post, and data logger are firmly secured. Move the swivel arm through its intended working range to confirm smooth movement and sufficient cable slack.
Once all connections have been checked, connect the power supply and switch on the logger to confirm normal startup.
The Tracker data logger is now installed. Position the screen to suit your working location, and contact us if you need help with mounting or cable connections.
