FX315 at an Israeli Customer Jobsite: Practical Control for Real Field Work
We recently received a set of jobsite photos from one of our customers in Israel. The FX315 is being used outdoors for an HDPE pipeline installation on sandy ground.
Conditions like strong sunlight, dust and uneven terrain are common on real pipeline projects. This site also shows two practical features of the FX315 particularly well: the wired remote control and the enclosed hydraulic power unit.
Essential Controls Right Beside the Machine
On many conventional hydraulic butt fusion machines, carriage movement and facer control are operated directly from the hydraulic power unit.
On the FX Series, these frequently used functions are placed on a separate wired remote control. The operator can move the carriage forward or backward and start or stop the facer without having to remain beside the HPU.
As shown in the photo, the operator can sit close to the fusion frame, control the machine and observe the pipe ends at the same time. This avoids repeatedly moving between the frame and the hydraulic unit, making the process more direct and flexible.
A Clearer View of the Facing Process
Facing is an important preparation step before fusion. The operator needs to check that both pipe ends are making proper contact with the facer, that continuous shavings are being produced and that the surfaces have been faced evenly.
With the remote in hand, the operator can remain beside the frame and respond directly to what is happening at the pipe ends. Carriage movement and facer operation can be controlled from the same position where the work is being observed.
Enclosed HPU for Dusty Outdoor Conditions
The machine is working on exposed sandy ground, where dust and sunlight are part of the normal jobsite environment.
The FX Series uses an enclosed hydraulic power unit, with its main hydraulic and electrical components housed inside the protective casing. This helps reduce direct exposure to dust, sand and everyday jobsite debris.
Compared with a more open structure, the enclosed design also helps keep the unit cleaner during transport and field use, making it better suited to outdoor and dusty working conditions.
The FX315 for Everyday Pipeline Projects
The FX315 is designed for butt fusion of HDPE pipes up to 315 mm. It is suitable for water supply, drainage, industrial piping and other polyethylene pipeline installation projects.
The machine also features a reinforced four-clamp frame and a gear-driven facer for stable and dependable field operation.
These photos capture an ordinary day on site, but they also show how the FX315 fits into real working conditions: the operator can stay close to the machine while controlling it, and the enclosed HPU is well suited to the sandy outdoor environment.
